eMClient not launching in admin mode either

Hi. I purchased a license key a week or so ago. This morning, there was a prompt for an update which I accepted.
eMClient now won’t launch. I think it believes it is already open as spinning timer for 1 sec and then nothing. Tried opening in admin mode and get the same problem.
Have gone through Task Manager but can’t identify a process to close down associated or affiliated with eMClient.
Have restarted machine a few times and tried shutting down and re-starting but get the same. Please help!

  1. Close and uninstall eM Client, making sure NOT to delete the database folder when asked. That will ensure all your data and settings are there later.

  2. If it exists, delete the C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client folder.

  3. Download and install the latest version from here: https://www.emclient.com/dist/latest/setup.msi

  4. Restart eM Client.
