emClient and Things task manager

Postbox integrates with the Things task manager application, so that I can invoke a quick entry to Things via a key command that links the new to do with the specific email message ID. I can then quickly access that e-mail message from Things using that link.

Does eM Client offer this, and if not, how can I request it? I use it frequently.

Thanks.

No eM Client doesn’t currently link to any external task management apps like Things as it already has “built-in server side account task support” such as in Gmail, Outlook, Imageway, & Caldav accts etc. Software for task management | eM Client

Also eM Client has “Local Tasks” if your server account doesn’t have tasks included.

If you want to link to Things like Postbox did, I would put in a Sleek plan suggestion for that.

Thanks for replying.

Here is the response I received from Things support when I asked thme about this. I will take this to the Sleek plan pages, as you advised.

They only would need to support basic AppleScript functions in order for this to work. We have an AppleScript Guide that they can refer to, and if in doubt they can always reach out to us and chat with a developer. Naturally, they can also simply look at our Helper to figure out what’s going on.

Great idea. I am also missing the quick way to turn an email into a task in Culturedcode´s Things.

I also looked at the builtin Task functionality in emClient, but as emails are not related to the tasks, it´s quite hard to use.
