emClient 10.3 MacOS - calendar invitations unusable

I’m using the latest version (10.3.1524) and it seems like the calendar function is getting worse with each release. I have three accounts: Outlook.com (M365 Personal), Gmail, and iCloud.com. When I send an invitation from the respective calendar, only empty emails are delivered to the recipient. Additionally, the invitations are not sent from the respective accounts but instead from the default email address. For me, this is becoming increasingly unusable!
I’m using the paid version of emClient and I really want to know if this problem will be fixed soon?

kind regards
Stephan

Well, we are not able to reproduce it and all these platforms have been of course heavily tested. Can you send us some of these “empty mails” on [email protected]? You experience the same behavior with all these 3 providers? Do you use Mac or Windows? Can you also record a video so we can see it in action? We’ve tried our best, but we are still not able to reproduce such behavior. Do you use some security software such as antivirus, local antispam or something like that?

I use emClient under MacOS version 15.4 (24E248) on two Macs. With icloud+ I have activated Apple’s Private Relay and also use AdGuard. If I disable both, I still have the same problems with all 3 providers.
It’s also strange that the empty invitations have my default email address as the sender, regardless of which calendar I use. I assume that depending on the account used, the corresponding e-mail address is also used as the sender. When I use Outlook, everything works as expected, so I’m sorry to say I’m switching back for now until this issue is resolved. :frowning:

Well of course it is your choice to go back to Outlook, but if you won’t help us with diagnosing the problem, it hardly can be resolved, as we are not able to reproduce it and we haven’t received other similar reports. It is also very strange, because the invitations on outlook.com and icloud are created on the server and sent from the server, so if these are blank or corrupted it is highly probably out of our control. It seems something is intercepting these invitations on the way. Without further logs and example of such corrupted invitation we are not able to diagnose the problem.

Hi,
I have observed several different issues during testing that were very strange.

Self-created invitations only arrive at the recipient as an empty mail via GMail, icloud+ and Outlook.com. The problem occurs with all three providers.
When creating a calendar entry from any HTML mail from the inbox, the invitation arrives correctly via icloud+ and Gmail. This does not work with outlook.com either.

There is no invitation in the sent folder in icloud+Gmail, but there is in outlook.com. Here the invitation message in emClient looks fine, but when I open the same mail in the Outlook client, an attachment labeled “not supported calendar message.ics” is displayed.

I have sent two test invitations (Gmail and Outlook) to the mailbox. Also the invitation mail as it looks in Outlook.

Best regards
Stephan

Can you please send us a configuration (Accounts → < your gmail account> → General tab. Do you use any aliases? It is really strange that all your invitations are sent via your Outlook account.
The reason for problems with Outlook account seems to be that Outlook.com does not understand well to Time zone definition provided by operation system. We are still investigating that part of the problem.
