I have two emails from my main email carrier and they simply won’t delete. What can I do? They do not show up on other email apps.
Same here. Sometimes all emails will come back immediately after emtying trash.
I found out that “Properties/Repair” can help with most of those “ghost” emails.
After several such problems I have now two emails in my trash folder which are only visible in the list. They can’t be opened nor deleted.
Is there a way to manually have the database checked for inconsistencies?
Yes. Close eM Client and open a Windows Run window. You do that by using the Win + R keys on your keyboard. Paste in this command including the leading "
"C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client\MailClient.exe" /dbrepair
When that is done, restart eM Client.
Thank you very much! That really helped. Now the ghost emails are finally gone again.
A new problem:
The “all inboxes” shows one unread email. The favorites folder “unread” doesn’t show any unread emails. By this I mean the number besides the folder name. I can’t see any unread email either way.
It seems that the database gets corrupted from time to time. And not all can be repaired like this.
I’m running a Mac. Suggestions?
Yeah, for Mac, quit eM Client and open a Terminal. Paste in this command:
/Applications/eM\ Client.app/Contents/MacOS/eM\ Client /dbrepair
