Emails not uploading from Local Outbos folder

My emclient stopped uploading emails I write which are in my Local Outbox folder until sent.It worked the day before. Downloads work fine. This is from an AoIMail account. I rebooted my computer and it did not fix the problem. How can I diagnose and fix this?

Hi Ron, uhmmm is a strange behaviour. May I suggest you to enable the IMAP and SMTP Log for a better diagnosis? Enter in the preferences and search “LOG” without brackets in the searchbar. LOG is under “Advanced” section.

The try to repeat the behaviour and try to read or paste here the log if you find anything intersting. This could be helpful!

That can sometimes happen if your eg: outgoing mail port is blocked or not working 100% or could possibly be the wrong outgoing mail settings, or the SMTP settings might have possibly changed at the server end with SMTP authentication and need an updated setting.

So first if you have any optionally installed eg: Firewall / Security programs or optionally installed antivirus programs or vpns “other than what comes default with your OS” try completely disabling those to test in case of interference.

If you have nothing optionally installed like that or you do but disabling made no difference, then go to “Menu / Settings” and click on your AOL account and click the “SMTP tab” and update in this thread what your “Server address, Server Port and Security Policy”. We can then see if there is any obvious errors.

Also update “what version of eM Client” you are using and “what OS & version” your are running.

I was able to get this fixed by having AOL generate a new “app password” and entering it into the account of emclient. Not sure what happened or why it stopped working, but it works now. Thank you for those responding.
