I have been using em client for about a month with no issues, but now my emails are deleting themselves from my inbox without warning and I can’t find where they’ve gone. I was literally working on something, stopped to talk to a colleague and when I looked back, most of my inbox emails had disappeared??? Help! Where are they going?! I must warn, I’ve tried to read through other posts for help but I’m not at all techy and other people with the issue seem to have resolved it themselves for the most part. I’ve spent all afternoon trying to figure this out
Hi, what version of eM Client are you currently using? What mail service are you using?
Are you using an IMAP or POP3 account with the application?
Thank you,
Paul.
Hi, answers below:
- I’m using version 6.0.20617.0
- I’m not sure about the mail service as this email has been set up for me. I can access the mails through Webmail by going to https://delta.xnoc.net:2096/ and then either using squirrelmail or roundcube. Is that the information you need?!
- I think it’s IMAP
I also have a gmail account linked up (I have two accounts). The gmail seems to be fine, it’s the other one that I’m having issues with.
Thanks
Rhiain
Hi again, can you see the missing emails in your webmail when you login?
If you can, can you try repairing your inbox, right click the inbox in eM Client and select Properties > Repair and click on the “Repair” button.
Hope this helps,
Paul.
I see that there are 200+ likes, so this must have helped for many. However, I have v. 6.0.21372.0 and under Inbox Properties I don’t see a repair button.
If you don’t have a Repair button included in your folder/account properties, this would point to use of a POP3 account rather than an IMAP account which the original posters and others in the forum topic were using.
What exactly are you having issues with and what mail service are you using with eM Client?
Thank you,
Paul
djeez I have the same. First I only see todays and yesterdays messages in the Inbox. Then I activated the registration key and every thing is gone. Clicked on repair but nothing
Hello Ed,
what mail service are you using? IMAP/POP/Exchange?
Was your eM Client in an offline mode (expired DEMO) before you activated it with your key?
Are your messages still on your mail server?
Do you have your mail account set up on any other device?
Regards,
Olivia
sorry, don’t worry about it. I was just unfamiliar with IMAP and POP3. I had setup Windows Live Mail with POP3 and this downloads all emails and erases them from the ISP server. So I logged in my Windows Mail account and Emails were erased from server. I am not sure yet if I want to use IMAp since I will actively have to manage the space available at my ISP. For now went back to Winodws Live Mail using POP3. So this was not due to a problem with EM CLIENT, sorry about that
