Emails disappear after marking as read – not in any folder or trash

I have recently been facing a serious issue with eM Client 10.3.2619. When I mark certain emails as read (either using the context menu or by pressing “R” on the keyboard), the emails simply disappear forever. They are not moved to another folder or the Trash—they are just gone without a trace. So far, this has happened to four different emails. I have checked all folders, including Junk and Archive, and also used the search function, but the emails cannot be found anywhere.

I have been using eM Client for years and have never experienced anything like this before. Has anyone else had this problem or has any idea what could be causing this? I have not set up any special rules or filters that would move emails when marked as read. Any advice would be appreciated!

When you read the emails are they initially in the “Unread Global. / Favourites” folder ?

Or are you reading them “directly in your specific Acct inbox” or Acct sub folders ?

Also do you have Inbox Categories enabled ? As if you have V10 and have Categories enabled then your missing email might be showing in a differant Inbox Category
