Email not showing up from Quickbooks

When I receive emails from “[email protected]”, they are not showing up in eM Client. Shows up find in Thunderbird. I am running Imap, so it should show the same in both.

Thanks,
Fred

First if you have eM Client V10 you might have chosen the default recommended “Categories Inbox view”, where your QuickBooks email might be showing “in a different Inbox Category” so you are just not seeing it. .

If you have Categories enabled, “look to the right of your Primary Inbox” and see if you see other tabs such as eg: Other, or Promotions, Updates, Social etc. if you then find your QuickBooks email in another Category tab, then you can either “drag it back to the Inbox” where you will then get a prompt confirmation to then allways have that senders email for future in the Primary Inbox. Or you can “right click” on the subject and then click “Categories” and choose your Primary Inbox.

Eg: Example Gmail account Inbox Categorys screenshot below where 3 new emails are in the “Social Inbox tab”.

You can also optionally disable Categories “if you want all your emails to go to the one Primary Inbox folder”, either by right clicking on a Category and choosing Hide Categories on the dropdown, Or by going to “Menu / Settings / Mail / Categories” and disabling them at the top.

Now if the QuickBooks email “is not in an Inbox Category or you don’t have Categories enabled”, then check if that email has gone to your Spam / Junk folder under your mail account.

Now if it’s not in your Spam / Junk folder, then go to “Menu / Rules” and see if there is possibly a rule already setup to automatically move that email to a specific account folder after it arrives. You can “dblclick rules to look inside them”.

One way I find to test if it’s a rule doing it is to eg: disable / uncheck all rules temporarily.

Also if you have V10 the Blacklist rules are via “Menu / Settings / Mail / Blacklist” so check in there as well incase a blacklist rule is setup.

Thank you for your help, I have never notice the new tab, and that where it was hiding.
