This is going to be a show stopper for me. I setup my account for this forum and eM Client sends an email for activation to the forum. I waited and waited, checking my inbox and it didn’t arrive. Looked in “Other”, looked in Junk. All of this was using eM Client for Windows 11.
I launched my outlook email app and quickly found it in Junk. So I moved it to my inbox and then left outlook and went back to eM Client. Looked and looked, still not there. I went back to outlook to activate my login to this forum and that worked.
Just before posting this message I went into eM Client for windows and looked at “Parimary” then “Other” and there it was. Took a long time.
I won’t be able to use an email client that is un-predictable. What emails have been sent to me? How many are missing?
I will check my outlook email and gmail accounts periodically to compare what is coming in against what I see in eM Client. But inconsistency like this will kill it for me.
Not sure there is a fix, if anyone has any thoughts I’d appreciate it.
You must have enabled "Categories when you installed eM Client
Turn Categories off:
*Settings > Mail > Categories then untick Show categories
Then click Apply or Save & Close
Okay, thank you. I have gone in and yes Categories were enabled.
So are Categories broken? Not sure I get why having them on prevented the email from eM Client to not go into my Junk email in the client. Also not sure why having them enabled created such a delay in getting the email into my inbox once I went to outlook and moved the email from junk to inbox. My sync setting is every 10 minutes but it took hours before it showed up.
Not sure what happened in that case and difficult to say because you switched boxes in Outlook.
eM Client is reliable, see if you get any more issues with Categories disabled.
Thanks John,
Since I turned off categories I’ve not had any problems. I do like the idea of the categories but would want to create and use them if they cause issues.
EM Client is working for me much better.
Cheers
Thanks for the feedback
Normally having Categories enabled doesn’t interfere with Junk mail arriving in your Junk mail folder unless it’s a POP account, where the Junk email was downloaded prior to another client and then cleared from the mail server, so then eM Client wouldn’t see that email to download it.
