After updating from windows 7 to 10 my email data seems to have been deleted.
I launched eM client, but I was no longer logged in, all my folders and emails were missing. As if I launched it for the first time.
I checked the AppData folder and all files were there. (The files were last altered today (the same day I updated to windows 10).)
Is there a way to recover my emails and folders?
Hello Francis, not quite sure what you’re suggesting, does your AppData folder contain multiple “eM Client” folders? eM Client is using the database saved in this directory, if you say all your previous data are there, I’m not quite sure how would eM Client use a secondary database.
Please make sure the database location is setup for the AppData folder in Tools > Settings > General > Storage or make sure to navigate to that folder instead.
What version of eM Client are you currently using on your computer, can you please check the exact release number in Help > About?
