VERSION 7.2.35595.0

Upgrade will no longer connect to my email servers.  tried 3 times.  went back to above version with clean install.  all ok but wont restore from previous backup, and now today i received the message below as new back up failed.

I have been using this for years from Win 7 to Win 10.  Shame its all gone wrong.
Please help???

First thing I would try is to move the backup zip file to another location, like maybe your C: drive. Then when you run the restore, chose the new location.

thanks, that seems to have solved the current version back up.

anything on the new upgrade connection issues???

It depends on what the problem was with connecting, and without specifics it is hard to say. Those who have had this problem with the latest release have found that downgrading gets them back to messaging again, so at least that option is there.

If 7.2.35595 is working, don’t upgrade for a while unless you are having some other issues. But if this happens again, and you decide to go back a version or two, don’t delete the database directory when you uninstall.
