eM Client wont open up at all

eM Client wont open up at all. When I try to shut down the computer it says application (eM Client) is uninitializing. I think this is just after downloading an update yesterday. My computer says the current version is 9.2.1628.0 installed 20.03.2023

Sounds like eM Client has got stuck in resident memory or something went wrong when eM Client updated.

Open either task manager (Windows) via the task bar or force quit (Mac) via the apple menu and close eM Client. Then try and open it again.

If it still won’t open, then end eM Client task in memory again and download the latest update from the release history page & install the latest update to see if that will fix it.

If that then works, backup eM Client via either “Menu / Backup” (Windows) or “File / Backup” (Mac). You can then easily restore if need be in future should something go wrong.

Lastly if you still cannot open eM Client, uninstall the program and “don’t delete the database” when asked on the uninstall wizard. Then reinstall the latest eM Client version again.

24 hours left to its own devices (computer turned off) and it came back to life saying it hadnt been shut down properly.
Now all working, and newest version installed.
I did try to force it to quit via the task manager but that didnt work first few times I tried it.
