eM Client unable to access backup directory as access denied

I am unable to restore from backup as eMClient says unable to access the backup directory as access denied.

Sounds like you either only have “read permission” access to that backup folder location, or it’s possibly in “another user profile folder” which then you have no access so then also says access denied. Or you possible have the backup.zip file in the hidden database folder which also then carnt restore.

Where is the backup folder located ?

If you don’t know, go to “Menu / Settings (Preferences) / General / Backup” and check the default backup location path.

Also right click on the backup folder path, and then click Properties (Pc) or File / Get Info (Mac) and check if there is read / write access for that backup folder.

Thanks. I checked and found that the folder did not have write access and now all is well.
