If I put tag on shared mailbox email it shows in em client. Mine is yellow. Purple is my coworker who put tag on outlook. In EM client everything works well
But in outlook it shows em client tag when e-mail is open as you see in Oval on the picture. But it does not show tag in square as my coworker tag is shown below.
Can user in outlook can assign my em-client tag to an email and vice-versa.
Because currently in em-client tags I do not see outlook users tags, and they cannot see my tags.
But if tag is added to an email we both see it and also I can remove outlook user tag, but cannot re add it.
It’s possible that two different types of tag are being used here, which is why you’d see both in eM Client, but only one in Outlook.
In Outlook, you can tag messages by what Outlook calls “Categories.” A little confusingly, these are different to the “categories” used by eM Client and other apps to filter messages in your message list (All, Primary, Promotions, Social, Updates, Forums, and Other).
If you use an Outlook “Category” (tag), it will be synced via the server and seen by eM Client and also seen on other devices. If you use one of eM Client’s tags, it will be local and therefore on that one machine only.
So, when you select a message and then choose the option to tag it in eM Client, you will see a choice of using Outlook Categories or local eM Client tags, with a dividing line between them.
You can also go to the “Tools” menu, then select “Tags.” Next to “Save & Close,” you will see “Local Tags” and a dropdown arrow. If you click here, you will be able to customize your eM Client (local only) tags or your Outlook “Categories”/tags which are synced and visible across devices.
Ok I get it.
We use outlook shared mailbox. And there I only see local tags (shows none below dividing line).
When I add a my local tag to an email on shared mailbox, then others using outlook can also see it. Also if they add their tag on outlook then I see it in em client too. But I am unable to add others tag to an email.
Reason is that I want to do is to direct e-mail to a certain outlook user, by using their tag.
