eM Client not writing accented characters

I have 8.1.1054 version of the free eM Client for Mac.

I can’t write accented characters in the subject field when sending mails, or in the title field when adding an event to the calendar. For instance, when I try to write “reunión” what I see is “reuni´n”. This happens since the 8.1 actualization.

How can I fix this?
