eM Client not syncing properly with GMail

syncing issues between pc’s and smart phones. Example, working on my laptop in the other room, reading email, a few hours later on my “server” and the email that was trashed and or read on my laptop still exists as unread. 2 email accounts both on gmail via pop3. same issue happens when reading from my smart phone eM Client does not update/sync.

POP3 does not update statuses, for example if you use POP3 and you read something in eM Client it will not be marked as read in your cell phone email client

you need to use IMAP protocol to achieve this.
