I’m testing eM Client for use in my office. Currently, we use MDaemon Server together with Outlook and the MDaemon Connector.
I’m considering switching to another email client for technical reasons (briefly, Outlook isn’t perfect…).
Here’s the problem: I can’t get it to work!
According to the (rather minimal) guide on the website, it should be enough to enter the email address and wait for the automatic configuration (eM Client con MDaemon | eM Client), but that doesn’t work. When I enter my email, it says the domain is unreachable (even though the server settings are correct).
If I configure it as IMAP, it works, but I lose the “plus” features of MDaemon (contacts, calendar, notes). I also tried setting it up as an Exchange server, but that doesn’t work either (even though some mobile clients work this way).
Where am I going wrong? Is eM Client actually compatible with MDaemon Server?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
