eM Client is unable to connect to my Gmail Server

I was using eM Client for years now, I never changed any settings. However, it stopped working out of nowhere. eM-Client is unable to make a connection to the Gmail-server.
I tried several settings concerning IMAP-security etc.with no effect at all. I keep getting the error-log, attached to this post.

Far worse is, that I meanwhile switched to outlook. While the synchronization works, the UI is horrible. I really want to come back to eM Client, that worked so well for years. Thanks for any help.

First thing to try is disable your anti-virus and firewall and try again. That might be blocking the port after an update.

Also, check you have the correct settings for the account

IMAP
Host: imap.gmail.com
Port: 995
Security policy: Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)

SMTP
Host: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
Security policy: Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)

Another option, because it is an IMAP account, is you can remove the account from eM Client, then add it again using Automatic Setup. Those default settings also work just fine.
