EM Client is not be accepted as standard-client on windows, what to do?

I installed EM Client and i love it. Before i used Windows Mail and i hat it ^^.  But unfortunaly Windows does not accept EM Client as my new Standard email Client allthough i checked the Options. When i begin to click any email link Windows mail opens not em Client. When i get a notification on the tasklist below Right and click on it, Windows mail opens. please help, david from germany

I assume that because you have Windows Live Mail, you are not on Windows 10. 

You can set eM Client as the default in Windows Control Panel. Go to Programs > Default Programs > Set your default programs.

Click on eM Client. Choose Choose defaults for this program.

Choose Select All , and Save.
