I closed eM client down and when re-opening it gave me the message that “eM client was not closed correctly last time”. It then runs through the corrupted database and inconsistent data checks and gives me a green tick for both. Then I get an error message saying “eM client has stopped working.”
Steps I’ve tried so far:
Renaming the database so that it creates a new one. This has no effect.
Upgrading to Version 8 ( I was on 7). Same error happens.
Uninstalling and reinstalling. Same error happens.

As an update, I deleted the database again, then restarted eM Client. Same issue, but the log in the database folder now has only 3 lines in it:
