eM Client for iPhone fails in iOS 26.6

eM Client worked fine on iPhone for many months till I upgraded iOS to 26.6 a couple of weeks ago. Since then eM Client has only shown headers, no message bodies. I’ve deleted and removed eM Client, restarted the iPhone, downloaded eM Client from App Store again and installed one (of my six) email accounts, downloading minimum (1 month) messages. When syncing stopped, only headers, no message bodies as before. What’s wrong. I the latest eM Client incompatible with the lates iOS?

Googling iOS26.6 its still Beta at not scheduled to be released till the end of July so not official public version yet, You might need to wait till the official iOS release and then see if it works.

Thanks. So if I can restore the former iOS version, could that restore eM Client functionality?

Presumably if the problem only just happened after updating to OS 26.6, then it should work fine again if reinstalled on the official stable current iOS public release 26.5.2.

If you need help reverting back to the non beta iOS version, see the following Apple support page which explains that part way down.

Apart from that others on this forum might comment if they are using the latest iOS Beta.

I can confirm this same issue. My iPhone auto-updated to iOS 26.6 and since then eM Client shows only the subject/headers when I open an email, with no message body. Everything still works fine in eM Client on my desktops.

I also tried deleting and reinstalling the app from the App Store, which did not fix it.

Adding my report here so the developers are aware the current app has trouble with iOS 26.6 before the public release lands. Happy to provide screenshots or more details if it helps.

Hello, iOS 26.6 is still a beta (currently beta 5), so I guess you are part of the Apple beta program, otherwise you should not get 26.6 yet. It seems Apple has changed a way for a specific security mechanism in their OS web browser that eM Client use. We don’t know if it is an intentional or just a temporary issue for 26.6 beta 5. However we’ve internally developed a workaround for the problem and currently we are monitoring if this issue will or will not be present in the final iOS 26.6. This should be clear in a few days at latest. Sorry for the inconvenience, but it is a breaking change on the Apple side.

We also see that the problem is not present in iOS 27 beta, so it seems to be a temporary glitch on Apple’s side as far as we can say for now.

Hello,

I just wanted to confirm what you said.

I have 3 iPads all were running latest iPadOS 26.6 Beta 5 and this issue with the message area being empty is happening on all 3 ipads. So this morning I decided to update 2 of the 3 ipads to the latest iPadOS 27 Beta and it indeed fixed this issue. The message window is now displaying all messages just fine. The other ipad which is stuck on iPadOS 26 because it’s an 8th Gen still has the empty message issue.

So hopefully iPadOS 26.6 Beta 6 fixes the issue or I assume there may be a new em Client update coming soon?

Thanks

Good News!

Empty message window issue fixed in just released iPadOS 26.6 release candidate!
