eM Client failing to connect to a Virgin Media email account

Hi, after a long time using eM Client without any problems, it has been failing to connect to my Virgin Media email account for the past 36 hours. Can you help?

Thanks Olivia, yes I can log in via webmail. The error message is “An attempt to connect to k.fryde@ntlworld.com failed. This could be caused by temporary server unavailability or incorrect settings. Do you want to check the settings?” But it’s obviously not server unavailability as I’m getting messages through webmail, and I haven’t changed the settings.

a third party application could be blocking eM Client’s connection to your server then.
Do you have Firewall/Antivirus/other security software enabled? Can you try adding eM Client to exceptions and see if that resolves the issue?

I am also experiencing the same message as Kenneth but with talktalk. My inbox shows 15 unread messages but I can only see 4 of them.
