I installed Thunderbird and eM Client one behind the other to test them to see which I like better. Thunderbird was first. I logged into my gmail account and it took Thunderbird less than 2 minutes to download all 63 Thousand copies of my messages via Imap.
Em Client is still downloading them after an hour. eM Client is only on 26 thousand as of right now. Why is eM Client so slow when Thunderbird did it in 2 minutes?

That sounds normal to me for that size mail box starting from a brand new mail installation.

I suspect that’s only “IMAP mail headers”, as would be a miracle to download 63 thousand IMAP emails “completely in 2 minutes” via a client.
