em client does not sync back to google

eM Client has my google contacts.  I entered a contact in eM Client and it does not appear in my google contact.  Local folder and my gmail account is checked in eM Client.

Hi, what version of eM client are you using? Are you receiving any error messages from the application?
Can you right click the calendar folder and select Properties > Repair, and click the repair button?

Thank you,
Paul.

I am using Em Client in the trial version, version 6.0.20154.0.

I did click on repair on my google account in contacts.  The contact I added to Em Client still does not appear in google contacts.

Hi again, can you please go to Tools > Settings > Advanced and turn on GData logging for the problematic account? Save the settings and restart the application, once you do so, please try to replicate the issue, create an event and maybe try the repair function again (so it’s visible in the log file), if it doesn’t sync, go back to the advanced settings window and click on send logs.

Please send the logs to my email ([email protected]), and add a reference link to this forum topic please.

Thank you,
Paul.

I tried adding another contact in eM Client.  It showed up in google contacts, but not under my contacts, but under Other Contacts.  I went back to my first contact which did not show up in google contacts and discovered it was saving in local folder.  I changed it to the gmail account, refreshed, it showed up in google other contacts.  Now that I figured out the first issue, how do I get it to go to my contacts directly?

Thank you for the great support!!!

GREAT Program… A work of art!

George…

Hi, can you please send me a screenshot of your calendar folders and sub-folders?
If your saved contacts are in Other Contacts, this suggests you’re saving your contacts into the main calendar folder which should also contain sub-folders if you open this folder, there should be a sub-folder called “My Contacts”.

What you could also do is mark all the contacts you’d like to see in “My Contacts” and press ctrl + shift + v and select the subfolder (it should be more visible in the select folder window, than it is in the sidebar).

I hope this helps,
Paul.

Paul, thank you for your help.  I see the folders under the contact.  I purchased the pro version and glad I did.

Great! Glad to hear everything works now, if you have any more issues or questions, let us know we’ll be happy to help, or as a pro user you can use the support ticket system now at support.emclient.com.

Thank you,
Paul.
