eM Client crashes when MacOS system will be woken up from standby modus

The headline says the whole problem. Just going in stand by and waking up the Mac, eMClient crashes.

Besides: it crashes irregularily when hit any button or fuction. But this can’t hardly be reiterated.

What Mac OS version do you have, and what version & number of eM Client are you running ?

If you are running eM Client V9 Beta then suggest to send that feedback to [email protected] and check for any updates via the version history page too.

Used by Mac OS 10.15.7 with eMClient 9.0.213

We released version 9 today.

Please download it from here: https://www.emclient.com/dist/v9.0.1632_Mac/setup.pkg

See if the update makes any difference as you are using an old beta version.

I’ve gone through a number of Mac computers, multiple OS versions, and upgraded emClient regularly. regardless of what I did, it keep hanging after standby. Can you please find a solution?!

I’m suffering from this issue as well, still. Running Vversion 10.3.2622, and it is still imperative to CLOSE eM Client before closing the lid on the MacBook, as it will most likely crash when you open the lid again. So far, no lost data, but it is pretty annoying.

What happens if you let the Mac go to sleep automatically after a set time “without shutting the lid” ?

Fwiw:
Does not happen here, neither on Mac Studio nor on MacBook Air, with or without lid closed.
eM Client wakes up fully functional.

Both machines running on eM Client 10.3.2622, both on macOS Tahoe.

Got to test that last night, that seems to be ok. The client did not crash / freeze on waking up. Not sure what’s different between closing the lid and just letting the device go to sleep.

I don’t personally know why it works that way and not via just closing the lid, only that I’ve heard other customers say that sometimes fixes that issue even for Windows laptop users who also just shut the lid. Sounds like something with the eg: power management in the OS in someway.

Maybe post that question on the Apple OS community forum with your specific model laptop Have you tried OS26 Tahoe ? as @ttf says that seems to work either way.
