eM Client Crashed - Tried to reload - Will not reload?

I erased the malfunctioning eM Client program. When I downloaded the program again, like a zombie, the same old SQL database error reappears and will not load the newly down loaded program. Am I permanently shut out of eM Client?

Hi, this is because after removing the application, the original database is still kept on your computer, if you don’t have any data to lose, go to your local folder > App Data > Roaming, and delete the eM client folder, when you open the application again, a new database will be created.
But to avoid any other users having this issue, can you please click on the “Show error” button when the application crashes again and post it here on the forum?

Where Do I find local folder> App Data> Roaming?

I’m running Windows 8.1. Can’t find Local folder > Appdata > Roaming?

I’m also running Windows 8.1.

Make sure you’ve selected to show ‘hidden files’:

  1. start Windows Explorer

  2. select ‘view’ tab page in the top

  3. click ‘options’ icon (right-most icon)

  4. select ‘view’ tab page in the options

  5. scroll to ‘hidden files and folders’

  6. make sure the option ‘show hidden files, folders and drives’ is selected

  7. click [apply]

  8. click [apply to folders]

Now you should be able to see your ‘AppData’ folder.

  1. start File Explorer

  2. goto C:\Users<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\eM Client

    3) delete all files in this directory
