Em client cannot connect to email server

My emails are coming through on my phone but my desktop with email client is refusing to download them or for any to be sent. Says “failure to connect to server”

Need more information.

What mail server are you with ?

Also do you have a POP, IMAP, Exchange, Office 365 or iCloud account ?

Also what is your Incoming “Server Address, Server Port & Security Policy” ?

Also does your server use a passwordless OAuth token or a legacy username and password ?

Also what version of eM Client do you have ?, and do you have Windows or Mac ?
