eM Client: ASCII or Binary?

I am looking at eM Client to replace my current email tool. I was wandering does eM Client store its data on local disk like M/S Outlook (all of the data, email, contacts, …, in one large binary file) or does it store its data on local disk like Mozilla Thunderbird (all relevant files are ASCII format and mail folders are in separate ASCII files)? Regards, Erick

Hi, it’s actually a bit different than any of the mentioned, but it’s actually more similar to outlook than thunderbird.
All your data is stored in multiple database files and it grows with how big your database gets.

Thank you,
Paul.
