Hi,
After I upgraded to eM Client version 9.2.2038.0, it always freezes / locks up shortly after starting it making it unusable and I need to task manager kill it. Any ideas how to troubleshoot this? Is it possible for me to downgrade to the previous version 9.2.1735.0 without losing my email setup configuration and local email folders?

Could be your database has an error in it.
Close eM Client and open a “Dos prompt” and run the following command -
“C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client\MailClient.exe” /dbrepair
Failing that could be that eM Client didn’t install properly and might need reinstalling.
Close eM Client and try uninstalling eM Client. “Don’t delete the database” when asked on the uninstall wizard.
Then re-download V9.2.2038 from the release history page and reinstall and see if that fixes it
