First, i use Linux Mint 16, but i install Windows applications with Wine and they all run fine!
Soo, my problem is that the installation runs fine but when i try to open eM a message shows up: “Communication with previous instance failed. The other instance has to be ended in order to start the application”.
Well, i’m not sure what that means… do you? Is it because of Linux or is there any other problem?
Hi, what version of Wine are you using? Did you install the application following the instructions from Applications database?

Can it be that eM Client was already running when you installed the new version?
It looks like another instance of eM Client is running when you try to start the newly installed version.
Do you also get this error when you try to start eM Client after a reboot?
