eM Client 11 (MSIX): "Microsoft Office Outlook" MAPI error dialog shown by mmgaserver.exe

Hello,
After launching eM Client 11 (version 11.0.1054.0, MSIX, Windows 11), Windows shows a dialog titled “Microsoft Office Outlook” saying there is no default mail client or that the current client cannot fulfil the messaging request. It appears every time I start eM Client and sometimes three times in a row. It does not affect my mail or data.
Findings:

  • The window belongs to mmgaserver.exe (MmgaServer.exe -Embedding), not to Outlook. OUTLOOK.EXE is not running when the dialog appears.
  • HKLM\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail and HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Clients\Mail are set to PackagedMail. MAILTO and the other mail file types are assigned to eM Client in Windows Default Apps.
  • Old classic registry entries (subkey “eM Client”) still point to C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client\MailClient.Mapi.dll, which does not exist. That folder only contains MailClient.exe.
  • Microsoft Office LTSC 2024 (ProPlus2024Volume) is installed, but I do not use Outlook.
This looks the same as the case described in your forum thread: eM Client 11 Beta: three MAPI/MMGA error dialogs after MSI-to-MSIX upgrade
Could you tell me whether there is a supported way to fix this without removing Outlook from Office, and whether a fix is planned?
    Thank you,
    Carlos
