I’d like to ask for an update regarding ECC S/MIME certificate support.
I’ve tested the latest Windows version, eM Client 10.3.2619 (1e54f4a), and it still appears unable to sign messages using ECC-based S/MIME certificates. This has been an ongoing limitation for years, and at this point (already 2025), I’m hoping this can finally be addressed.
I really prefer to use eM Client over Thunderbird, but I simply cannot switch because my email relies on ECC certificates.
Here are the details of my certificate:
Issuer
CN=WISeKey CertifyID Personal GB CA 4
O=WISeKey
C=CH
Public Key
ECC (256 Bits)
Public Key Parameters
ECDSA_P256
If ECC S/MIME support is on the roadmap or if there are any workarounds, I would greatly appreciate any update.
Thank you.
