Easy way to insert tank dash from keyboard

“–” tank dash
"- " minus sign

alt + 0150 gives a tank dash.
I am looking for an easier way to write a tank dash from the keyboard.

Maybe I miss something in translation…?
I have dedicate keys for:
‘_’ underscore/tank dash & ‘-’ minus sign
OR
Do you mean something different?
OR
¿Simplemente tomando los p **s?

¡Buena suerte

We call them a dash or hyphen (-), an “en dash” (–) and an “em dash” (—) (as you mentioned).
And there’s no easy way on a PC keyboard but using the ALT keys (I have no idea on a Mac):

“-” (dash on keyboard)
– (Alt + 0150)
— (Alt + 0151)

Word 2010 has these options, insert symbol (sorry language).

If you have many characters you would like to assign to keys on your keyboard, I’ll suggest you use a 3rd party tool like AutoHotKey (https://www.autohotkey.com) to do that. It is a free, open-source scripting language for Windows that allows users to easily create small to complex scripts for all kinds of tasks such as remaping keys and buttons for the keyboard or the mouse, defining hotkeys, macros, etc.
I used it in the past when I was working abroad and it was a lifesaver for me.
