Hello,
I use eM Client with an iCloud account. I now must sync that account with my Google calendar (for Calendly, Zoom, etc.) so that I can sync “globally”.
em Client support confirmed that this can’t be done within eM. I just set up CalendarBridge using the “sync multiple” option (in order to have two-way sync) and it syncs beautifully - unfortunately now every event shows up twice in eM Client:
- once with the CalendarBridge tag indicating the source (“iOS” or “Goo”) and
- once with the tag.
CalendarBridge sort of mirrors back eM Client events to eM Client…!?
I asked ChatGPT and it suggested stopping Google sync temporarily and then deleting those events without a tag in eM Ciient since they’re copies - which I don’t believe because they are the color-coded events!
Can anyone please tell what l’m missing or doing wrong?
Thanks

eM Client “doesnt have native, direct support for the third-party service CalendarBridge” and is a standalone email client that syncs directly with major calendar providers like Google Calendar, Outlook, and iCloud, using standard protocols (e.g., CalDAV, EWS, AirSync).
You normally just “first add all your various cloud calendars into eM Client” and then “select / check them all”, and then view the calendar which then shows them all combined globally.
Then there is no need to sync them externally in a bridge as they are already combined together which is what I and my friends do personally with eg: 4 different IMAP calendars.
However if you want to sync cloud calendars externally with a bridge and are then getting duplicate events, then suggest you contact your external bridge technical support “if you haven’t already” to see if they can maybe eg: “modify their end” to stop the duplicates appearing.
We have no support on this forum or online documentation for external bridge synching.
Thank you, @cyberzork , for your long reply!
For a long time just adding my cloud calendars into eM Client worked fine and was fine for me, but now I must also export my eM calendar to Google because too many tools I have to use now only offer native connections to either Google or Outlook. And this eM Calendar → Google calendar connection doesn’t work reliably.
I had hoped that there was a setting within eM Client which would suppress these duplicates or which I could use to avoid them being imported (again) in the first place.
