After I send an email that was previously saved in the Drafts folder the email doesn’t delete from the Drafts folder but stays as a Draft. Is there a way to change the settings so that draft emails are automatically deleted from the Drafts folder once they’re sent?
Hi Shannon, what mail service and what version of eM Client are you currently using?
The drafts should automatically disappear if you open the draft from the drafts folder and then hit the “send” button.

Hi Paul. Thanks for your quick response. I’m using version 6.0. I’m not sure what mail service unfortunately.
The problem is that when I have an email open it saves multiple drafts instead of just updating the 1 draft. I have the save to drafts set at 1 minute as I often get interrupted while writing emails and don’t want to lose my changes. But then when I look at my drafts I’ll have 10 different versions of the same email in the draft folder. They also don’t delete once I’ve sent the email I’ve been working on. Hope this makes sense. Any help you can provide is appreciated!

The mail service you’re using would also help to resolve this issue, a lot of users use for example Gmail or yahoo, if you’re using one of the common services and not a mail service running on a private domain your email address should contain the name of the service.
For example name @ gmail.com , what is the second part of your email address?

If I were you, I would not post images which so much private info on the internet.
You can use a ‘screen capture’ program like SnagIt to make screen shots and ‘obscure / blur’ parts of those screen shots.

I have recently developed the same problem, exactly as described by Shannon in her second post above. Saves multiple, incremental versions of drafts instead of only the latest, and they do not get deleted after sending the mail. This is new behavior and was never seen in months of operation previous to now.
I am on Yahoo mail and using eM Client 6.0.20617.0. I am embarrassed to say that I don’t really recall if the problem started before the recent update to 20617, or immediately after that.

Hi, what mail service provider are you using? Can you please go to Tools > Settings > Advanced and turn on IMAP logging for the problematic account that this issue occurs with?
- Save the settings
- Restart the application
- Replicate the issue
When drafts are not deleted, go back to the advanced settings window and click on “Send logs” and send the logs to [email protected] with a reference link to this forum topic.
