I use eM Client to access Outlook 365 emails. I created a local folder called “Sent Items 2025” and I’m trying to move my Sent Items to “Sent Items 2025”. Some of the emails will copy but most error with “downloading items from server failed”
What’s the purpose of your additional folder for Sent Items? Why not use the 365 folder?
The purpose of the Send Items 2025 folder is to archive all 2025 Sent Items. I have archive folders for each year back to 2020. I did the same thing for Deleted Items 2025 and it worked fine. I can’t use Outlook for the client as this is dictated to me.
I found a way around this. I set the flag on all Sent items. Using Outlook OWA, i moved the Sent Items to my Inbox. Using EM Client, I was able to move all the flagged items in my Inbox into my archive folder (Sent Items 2025).

eM Client also has an Archive or Automatic Archiving feature built-in you can alternatively use. See eM Client blog for info on that below.
