I have a problem downloading an update
when I try to download this error appears “Error occurred while downloading files. An exception occurred during a WebClient request.
The decryption operation failed, see inner exception”
How can this error be solved?
Has anyone encountered something like this?

it doesn’t work I tried this method and the same thing happens, the same error
This issue can sometimes be related with the Mail account server “SSL, TLS settings” in eM Client.
Or it can be related to the “TLS version you have installed” eg: if you have an older Windows 7 or early Mac OS’s and using TLS 1.3 which is not supported that can give you errors like that.
Or it can be related to “a physical network error” with however your current device gets internet.
Lastly can be an actual internal OS problem like with eg: Windows registries etc.
So let us know whether you have Windows or Mac and what OS version you are running.
Also what version of eM Client are you running.
Also what is your eM Client incoming mail server settings eg: server address, server port and security policy.
Also what type of device do you use to connect to your internet eg: mobile hotspot, fibre, dsl, and if you go through any internal switches or routers at your premises prior to your modem / router.
Lastly also let us know if you are running any eg: optionally installed firewall / security programs, or vpns as sometimes programs like that can interfere with downloading updates as well
First of all, I must say that eM client runs on win 11 and it is version 9.2.2157(5b49542) and as I said, it runs very well, I have no problems with email viewing, I have gmail, aol, hotmail, yahoo accounts, all on eMclient that work very well well, it’s just that I was notified of an update that, when I wanted to install, the error I was talking about appeared. I tried to download the update version separately directly from the website and when I tried to install (9.2.2258.0) the same thing happens to the same error

If eM Client is sending and receiving mail ok with the latest V9 and Windows 11 as you say and you have no optional firewall security program or vpn etc running other than the default os stuff, then you must have some eg: http port problem or ip routing problem going to the eM Client release history page being you cannot get the update via the program directly or manually via the website.
So not an eM Client related issue. If you haven’t already tried, “power of your modem router or mobile internet device” depending on what you use, and also power off any switches if you have those and all computers and restart everything. Then try again. Just might need that doing.
If still won’t connect and download from the release history page directly, contact your internet technical support and advise the website you are trying to get to and the error you are getting. They will need to troubleshoot their end to check if it’s an ISP routing issue or a local internal home issue.
