Download all folders (everything)

Hello,
Is is possible when emclient connects to a new IMAP server to download the headers from all the folders and subfolders and not having to do it manually ? (click on each folder)

If you try to copy a folder with subfolders and you haven’t clicked on the subfolders to download the heards to copies the subfolders EMPTY!

Thank you

For IMAP accounts to speed up messages opening, you can set your account to “download messages for offline use including attachments” for searching in message bodies.

Go to “Menu / Accounts” / “IMAP Tab” and set the option in your account near the bottom to “Download messages for offline use” and also “Include attachments” for searching in message bodies. Then Save and Close accounts. See eM Client V9.2 Gmail IMAP example below.

To see when this has been completed, click the dropdown arrow on the right of “Refresh” top left and click “Show Operations”. This can take time initally depending on the size of your Mailbox.

Hello,
It worked but it would be nice to have an option to download only the headers instead of the whole message.

Thank you

Exactly this option is introduced in v.10

Awesome! Message list only should be default in order to minimize disk usage.

Thank you

Well I don’t agree here, because typically this setting is used when users want to have all the folders up to date because of offline use and mainly because od search, where message list only would not be enough (typically you want to search full text in message bodies).
Message list only option is for a rather specific use case here. Please note that this is only applicable when Automatically download messages for offline use and search checkbox is checked. We don’t have that as a default option for accounts where server search is present and/or there is a transfer limit for sync (throttling), which is both true for Gmail, that is why it is not enabled for Gmail accounts by default.
