Does Using eMClient Mean "Account Active" in Google's Eyes?

Hi, recently I’ve been getting a lot of emails for the different email accounts I have about “Updating our Google Account Inactivity Policy”.

If my Google Account is inactive for two years, it will be deleted.

Easy to keep it active: just log in once in a two-year period
OR do one of the following:

  • Reading or sending an email
  • Using Google Drive
  • Watching a YouTube video
  • Sharing a photo
  • Downloading an app
  • Using Google Search
  • Using Sign in with Google to sign in to a third-party app or service
My Question: Based on the first one in the above list (reading or sending an email, we should be Ok, correct?

Yes if you are accessing your Gmail account via eM Client to “read or send email” as per Google website policy in their link below, that would count as active according to their website.

“Google Account activity is demonstrated by account and not by device. You can take actions on any surface where you’re signed in to your Google Account, for example, on your phone”.

“If you have more than one Google Account set up on your device, you’ll want to make sure each account is used within a 2-year period”.
