Wondering about the level of privacy eM Client offers.
Does eM Client block notifications to the sender that their mail has been opened?
I know there is software out there that notifies senders when their email has been opened/read and I don’t want spammers to have that option of notification.
Does eM Client block notifications to the sender that their mail has been opened?
eM Client Pro / Personal has builtin Pixel Tracking blocking options when you receive an email “if sender pixel tracking is detected” in their email.
So then to avoid the sender knowing when you opened the email and getting your IP Address etc like Spammers & some Marketing company’s etc do, you can then avoid that by either setting eM Client to “Always ask” if you want to allow tracking when its detected and the prompt appears.
Or you can set eM Client to “always block” email tracking so no prompt is needed. By default it set to “Always Ask” via “Menu / Settings (Preferences) / Mail / Privacy”.
See eM Client webpage link on " Email Tracking" below for Information.
This is an excellent, exceptionally well-detailed response and exactly what I was hoping for. Per your included instructions, I am going to go in and have em Client automatically block any attempt to track an opened message.
Thank You.
