Do Tags sync across EM Client installs?

Hi. If you have multiple installations of EM client, do the tags sync? I am using Fastmail and I noticed they don’t sync back to Fastmail. Does that mean I am out of luck syncing tags to a second client on a laptop?

We don’t sync local tags.

But in recent versions we do sync server tags dependent on the type of server you are connecting to. If you have Exchange, Dovecot, IceWarp, Cyrus or Google server, it is possible.

You will see what is available to you in Menu > Tags. Then create the tags there rather than Local.

@Gary Please take a look at this thread. I believe Dovecot is not supported. Or maybe only for particular versions of Dovecot? Please advise.

Sorry, my comment above is not clear. We do sync tags with IceWarp, but you won’t see the option in Menu > Tags.

However, if you add a tag on one installation, and you have the same account on another installation, you will see the tags on those messages on both of them.

Yes i see the tags on the other installation. But on the other installation, the tag manager has completely different tags available/unavailable, which is the problem im facing.
