With MS discontinuing Skype and moving uers to Teams personal, is there a plan to sort out Teams integration (currenly only works for MS business accounts).
As long as you have “upgraded already from Skype to Teams”, Teams should then automatically load when you join the online meeting “with a personal account”.
Ignore that it shows as Skype in eM Client. No doubt the Skype name will change to Teams later in Settings once Skype is officially discontinued on the 5th of May by Microsoft.
I upgraded my personal Skype account to Teams and then uninstalled Skype app, and eM Client “now loads the Teams app and / or Teams webpage” when i click Join Online Meeting in the calendar and works fine.
Perhaps becuase you were somehow already linked. All I get when I try to set up the chat account is:
Oh ok sorry i thought you were referring to “Online Meetings” from Skype to Teams for Calendar events via the “Settings”, but i see you are referring to just chat with Teams in accounts setup.
Yes mine also does that that same "“Teams account authentication failed” if i try to setup Chat / Teams in Accounts as well. Would need eM Client support to answer that question.
Thanks. Sorry, my intial post was unclear. Yes online meetings work, Chat does not.
