Different Themes for Each Email Account in eM Client

Good Day Developers,
I figured I would try a user story for this for development.

As a**: User of eM Client I want: The ability to assign different themes to each email account So that: I can easily identify which account I’m viewing and manage my emails more efficiently

Acceptance Criteria:

  1. Theme Assignment:
  • Users can assign a unique theme to each email account.
  • Themes can be selected from the existing theme library or custom themes created by the user.
  1. Theme Application:
  • When a user clicks on an individual inbox, the assigned theme for that account is automatically applied.
  • The theme change should be seamless and instant, without requiring a restart of the application.
  1. User Interface:
  • The settings menu should include an option to manage themes for each email account.
  • A preview of the theme should be displayed before applying it to an account.
  1. Consistency:
  • The theme should remain consistent across all folders and subfolders within the selected email account.
  • The theme should revert to the default or previously selected theme when switching to a different account.
  1. Accessibility:
  • Ensure that all themes are accessible and provide options for high contrast and larger fonts for users with visual impairments.

As a user of eM Client I want: The ability to assign different themes to each email account.

This might help you.

eM Client will be doing “Profiles” on startup “in a new update coming soon” (according to reset posts in the forum threads), which then in theory will be able to have different Themes for whatever account is in each user profile.

So you could then quickly switch between your accounts, and have “whatever theme you want in each account that way”.

Different Themes for each account might also suit eg: users who want “grouped accounts” in a user profile where they could then have specific accounts together with a specific theme.
