Desktop client doesn't download new emails

Desktop WIN10 versio simply doesn’t download few emails by POP3 from server. They are there, because other desktop client downloaded them and I can see them in inbox over web access.
It offered me new version of desktop client, I accepted, have new version with new look, but these emails are still not being downloaded.
Then tried EM client on Android and it downloaded them over IMAP.
Then I sent new email to myself and with these new downloads correctly.
These emails weren’t downloaded, and wasn’t deleted by mistake, is not in any basket or trash folder, nowhere
These emails are not exceptional, normal size, common senders as usual.

Could be your POP Settings. Go to “Menu / Accounts” and click the POP3 tab and update what your mail “server address, server port & security policy” is so we can see if there is any obvious errors in the settings.

Also click the dropdown on the right of Refresh and click “Show Operations” and click the Log tab and look for any obvious errors in the log and paste them in this thread and we might then be able to see whats wrong. Blank out anything personal in the errors.

This won’t be the cause, because following emails are being downloaded. It simply ignores one group of emails in some 1 day range.
I can drag and drop them from my another client in .eml format. But it is not reliable if it can hide some messages if I don’t observe it.

No errors there

There will be problem with deciding which messages are new on the folder. Somehow it is confused and this group of messages perhaps takes as already old… or what…

This won’t be the cause, because following emails are being downloaded. It simply ignores one group of emails in some 1 day range.

Where mail clients stop downloading a group of mails for a POP accounts can be due to eg: a corrupted UIDL / Download History where the POP client tracks which messages they already downloaded using a unique ID list. If this list gets out of sync, the client thinks new mail is already fetched.

It can also happen if the POP account message local cache gets corrupted. So for a POP account the best option to fix that is removing and readding the account to start new.

So advise as eM Client is not downloading all your emails from the server, to first go to “Menu / File / Export” and export all your POP account emails to (.eml) to a folder on your desktop. Also if you use a POP Account Local Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, or Notes, also export those as well to a folder on your desktop via the same export menu.

Then once all exported, go to “Menu / Accounts” and remove and readd your POP account and once readded, eM Client should start downloading your POP server mail. Then either drag your exported (.eml) emails back from your desktop to the same POP account mail folders in eM Client or go to “Menu / File / Import” and import the (.eml) emails. Also re-import any exported Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, or Notes via the same import menu.

Also in your POP account setup via “Menu / Accounts / POP3” tab, set how many days you want to leave messsages on the server end if you do want to receive POP mail on your other devices.

Note:- Before removing and readding your account, make a manual backup via “Menu / Backup” incase you need to restore for any reason. You can see when the backup is complete in Show Operations via the dropdown on the right of Refresh.

Ok checking volny.cz server it supports both secure and non secure POP account connections, so reccomend you use the secure POP account setup when you readd the account as well.
