Deleting items in folder '[email protected]/trash/' failed wiht an error: 'None is an invalid XmlNode type. Line 8 position 8

Get the attached error everytime I open emclient. It then closes and checks for database errors. Please help

Hi, could you copy/paste whole error message or is this all?

Jan

That is all it says. It then shuts down emclient and scans the data base (never finds anything) reopens emclient and then the process repeats itself over and over. When I try to manually shut down emClient, I get a message that there are unsent messages in the out box. One was to you. Tried to delete the messages but they won’t delete. eMclient is now stuck with a message saying this operation may take a while to complete. Has been 4 hours now. Please help

Could you try to update to newest version? Contact me on [email protected] and I will tell you how.

Jan

I am getting the same error message. When I check for updates from within the program, it says that there are no updates available. I am running version 6.0.20522.0. Any resolution to this issue?

Hi, does eM client shut down after the error message is displayed? Can you make a screenshot of the issue?

Thank you,
Paul.

Paul

Sorry for the slow reply - replied to the email and just realized now that it was a “no-reply” address. Here’s a screenshot of the error I’m getting.

It doesn’t shut down eM client after the message is displayed. If I click “Hide” or “Ignore All”, I can close the window and continue on with using the program.

Thanks again.

Hi, what mail service are you using? And what version of eM Client are you currently using?

Thank you,
Paul.

Paul
Using eM Client 6.0.20617.0
E-mail client is Outlook.com - via Bell Canada’s sympatico service. Does that tell you what you need to know?

Thanks again,
John Stephenson

Hi again John,
can you please try to right click your trash folder under this account and select Properties > Repair, and click on the Repair button?

Let me know if this helped the issue, thank you,
Paul.

That seems to have worked! Thanks very much for the help.

John Stephenson

No problem, glad it works, let us know if you come across any other issues or questions, we’ll be happy to help.

Thank you,
Paul.
