I am trying to migrate from Bluemail which I have on phone, tablet, and pc.
With Bluemail, when I delete an email from one of my devices, it deletes from the server. And, thus all devices.
With emclient using the same IMAP account, if I delete an email (or mark an email as read), it stays as unread on the other devises.
In other works, emclient doesn’t seem to be updating the server.
Is this a bug or expected behaviour?
Searching ‘Delete from Server’ in your help only lists discussion regarding POP3 accounts. There isn’t a POP3 tab under Accout setting.
Can you see changes in the other IMAP folders that have been made on the other devices? Like does Sent contain the new emails you sent with your phone or tablet?
I am desperately trying to retrieve sent and received email from our business email address that a recently let go employee erased. Our emails were through your email program. We have Bell internet and a Bell email address. I have been trying all week without success from our IT Company who hosts our programs and info remotely. I have also gotten nowhere with Bell who our email address is from. The email address from our business was [email protected]
All emails, inbox, sent items; contact lists etc have been erased from Jan 26, 2018 and previous.
Can someone please contact me as retrieving this information is critical not only to the operation of our day to day business but it may have some critical information on why the email was erased in the first place. We had let this employee go for cause.
Unless the emails are in Trash, or you have a recent backup, there is little chance you will get them back. Bell will be your best hope, as they may be able to restore the account.
I think going forward you may want to make it company policy that employees only use email addresses on your company domain. That server should be backed up so you will probably be able to restore deleted information. Another option is to have employees make regular backups, which could either be stored on the company server which is also backed up, or on removable media stored by the company.
