It would be good to have a rule set that will run after a set amount of time after the email is received. Such as if the email received from [email protected] is older than 2 days then move to file “MNO”. You can do this in Outlook and Thunderbird through the use of a 3rd party plugin.
Rules only apply automatically to new messages as they arrive in your Inbox. For that reason, we don’t have the “if message was received 2 days ago” option.
But you can run Rules manually at any time by right-click on a folder, and choosing Apply Rules. Then select the Rules you want to apply and which folders they should apply to. It is something you will need to do manually.
