Deinstall eM Client Mac

eM Clint installed a new version on my MacBook. I thought it was an update. Now I have a new, second installation of eMClient in a place where I don’t want it. How can I delete this data and reactivate the original installation?

That’s unusual upgrading eM Client created a duplicate Mac installation.

Could possible be a eg: a second Profile created which you can check by clicking “Menu / Profiles” and see if there is more than one showing. If there is, you set the default profile you want via “right clicking on it” and then remove the profile you don’t want and close and reopen eM Client.

Now If there is no second user profile showing, then next “check if there is a second database” by first closing eM Client and then going to the following hidden database folder.

(Hidden database folder Mac)
/Users/User Name/Library/Application Support/eM Client

If there is more than one hidden database folder called eM Client”, then rename the new one to eg eM Client-New and then rename the old one back to eM Client . Then reopen eM Client and see if that returns to how it was before.

If there is no second database then I would go to “Finder / Applications” and drag the eM Client app to the bin. Then download “the same or later version” of eM Client from the release history page and reinstall and see if that returns to how it was before.

Note: Removing the app from Finder / Applications “doesn’t delete your database” if you do remove the app and try reinstalling the app.

Thank you. I had a second profle, which I deleted now.
