I also tried to uninstal em client and received an error.
What can I do?
when trying to repair installation i get the following error: The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2503.

Sounds like your mail database is very corrupted.
Suggest to rename the hidden database folder to eg: eM Client-Old . Make sure eM Client is closed.
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\eM Client
Then download the Microsoft installer / uninstaller troubleshoot program and see if that fixes the uninstall problem.
After running the MS troubleshooter shutdown and reboot your computer and try uninstalling eM Client again. If it then does uninstall ok, then you can redown whatever version you had either via the release history page or windows store depending on where you originally installed it from.
If you then can get it reinstalled, if you have been making regular eM Client backups, then “skip the initial setup wizard” and restore your last backup via “Menu / File / Restore”. If you have no backups, then you would have to setup brand new.
I managed to fix it.
Thank you for trying to help but I think it is a bit unhelpful that all these posts end up with the “easy” answer that the database is very corrupted.
I had the windows TEMP file in a secondary hard drive that got assigned a different letter when I was doing some hardware changes. Simply had to change the drive back to the right letter.
I managed to fix it.
Great you figured out what’s wrong.

We are not official support and only a free community forum. So as you had SQL database errors and also couldn’t uninstall eM Client, I could then only suspect the database was corrupted in some way and offer suggestions to try and fix the problem. We don’t have a page on this forum for SQL specific database errors & what they mean.
If you need official support on SQL errors with the eM Client hidden database or eM Client program and have a current active paid Pro or Personal version, then go to the VIP Support page and login and lodge a support ticket.
