In Gmail, you can right click on a message and create a label. These labels act as folders and show outside of the inbox. In eM when I create a folder, it is nested in the inbox. I would like this outside of the inbox. Would love to me able to attach a jpg of my screen. My current work-around is to log into GMail and make the label in that application, then it will appear in the correct location when I jump back into eM. Big waste of time.
Right click on your email address above the INBOX and select new folder and it will create the folder under the email address just like the INBOX is.
A label in GMail is the same as a category in eM Client. To create a new category in eM Client, go to Menu > Tools > Categories. To assign a category to a message, right-click on the message and choose Categorize. Once a category has been assigned to a message, it will also be presented as a folder in the tree structure. So just the same as in the GMail web interface.
However, you can also create a folder in eM Client that is not a sub-folder of Inbox. Simply right-click on the main folder above Inbox (usually named as your email address) and choose New Folder. That creates a folder on the same level as Inbox, and also creates the corresponding label and folder in GMail.
